Hi, my name is Angie & here is a brief description of how Cancer has changed my life forever.
I have always been daddy's little girl, and on 7/26/06 that changed forever. My dad went into the hospital with intense stomach pains. He was only 49 years old, ate extremely healthy, & exercised everyday. After 3 days at our local hospital in Palm Springs (they had no idea what was wrong) they transferred my dad to Cedar's Sinai Hospital in LA. The first day he arrived there they found out he had Acute Myloid Leukemia & it had spread all through out his organs. Chemotherapy nor radiation nor any kind of treatment would work. The Cancer had already done it's damage.
I lost my dad on 7/26/06 at 23 years of age. There are no words to express going through something like that. I never thought "it" would happen to me, but it did. Not 1 day goes by that I don't think of my dad. As a matter of fact I think about him all throughout each and everyday.
My point in posting this is to let everyone know Cancer (among many other horrible tragedies) can happen to anyone. Take time to let the one's you love know they are loved. Give random acts of kindness a try & make a difference in this world.
